Ye Are The Temple of God:

INTRODUCTION:

As 1 Corinthians 3:16, "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" (Authorized King James Bible; AV). Almighty God (YHWH), the Creator of all there is, has created you as a wonderful human being, but it your responsibility to take care of this temple, your body. In addition to creating your body, he has created all the sources of good food for taking care of it as brought out in Genesis 1:11-13, "And God said, Let the earth put forth grass, herbs yielding seed, and fruit-trees bearing fruit after their kind, wherein is the seed thereof, upon the earth: and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, wherein is the seed thereof, after their kind: and God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening and there was morning, a third day. (American Standard Version, ASV).

As the Apostle Paul wrote at Ephesians 2:20-22, "And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit." (Authorized King James Bible; AV).

Therefore we should take good care of our bodies to show our appreciation to Almighty God (YHWH) of his greatest gift to us. Of course this would consist of NOT doing things to harm our body such as smoking, recreational drug use, over indulgence in alcohol, and eating of foods that are either valueless or harmful to our bodies.

IT IS ALL UP TO YOU:

As Doctor David Williams said in his publication "Alternatives," most of us are NOT taking good care of our bodies. We are eating the wrong foods and in many cases using substances such as tobacco and recreational drugs that will damage our bodies - this many times intentionally even though we know the dangers of doing so. Why? For a short lived enjoyment without regard to taking good care of our bodies as we should be doing since it is "the temple of God" per 1 Corinthians 3:16 previously quoted. As Dr. Williams said,

Now what in specific besides the substances that all know are bad for humans are many consuming without thought for their health? Let's look at a few:

[1] You need to control your weight and to that end, stop and/or reduct your use of high-fructose corn syrup, (HFCS). This sugar substitute used in place of very different from sucrose (regular sugar). Unlike sucrose, HFCS does not cause the release of the hormones insulin and leptin, both of which tell the brain to reduce the appetite and slow down fat storage.

[2] You need to strictly control your intake of carbohydrates such as sugar, and simple starches such as potatoes, pasta, etc.

[3] You need to reduce your consumption of medical drugs to the absolute minimum. Why? Since many of them can be part of your health problem instead of the solution. One example, As was brought out in a medical journal,

Also, take the right supplements. Consult with a reliable doctor who knows the natural alternatives to medical drugs. Remember, the pharmaceutical industry will not promote natural alternatives as they do NOT make money on them.

[1] Increase your intake of fiber and sulfur-rich foods. As Dr. Williams points out,

[2] Increase your intake of foods rich in potassium such as green (leafy vegetables) and most fruits, such as kale, Swiss chard, spinach, mustard greens, broccoli, eggplants, chicory, Brussels sprouts, carrots, beats, asparagus, lima beans, pinto beans, avocado, split peas, kidney beans, sardines, halibut, tuna, snapper, cod, etc.

[3] Exercise, about one hour per day, walking is an excellent exercise.

[4] Grapefruit as certain unknown compounds in grapefruit help facilitate fat loss and improve insulin resistance, and should be used with each meal. CONCLUSION:

Almighty God (YHWH) only gave us one body and it is our responsibility to try and take good care of it, remember per 1 Corinthians 3:16, "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" Also, because of individual differences, always check with your doctor and get his approval before making changes except for changes resulting in stopping the usage of harmful substances such as tobacco and recreational drugs (usually illegal drugs).
